Hawks Ledge offers eight select homesites on which to build your dream getaway. These sites have been hand selected and divided by walking the property and measuring the features of each location (such as ease of building, incline of the road, visibility etc...) Use the guide below to learn about the features of the eight lots. Additional images of the grounds are available in the Photos section of the site.

Meadowfork Creek: Lot eight is a 5.54 acre parcel and the first lot as you enter the property. The lot is unique in that it provides a choice in building locations. The owner can choose between building on a flat bluff overlooking the rushing trout stream as you enter the property or choose a more private wooded location. The wooded location still has the sound of the stream with the option to clear a trail down to the creek, while the bluff location has easier access and better views. Either option is a great one. This lot borders common area and trout stream across the entire front and includes a smaller creek running through it across the western side of the property.

Falling Water: Lot seven is a 7.09 acre parcel featuring short range mountain views. The community park borders this lot on the eastern side and the lot has a stream running through it's eastern border. The building site sits atop a nice knoll and is surrounded by a variety of mature trees. This lot offers many advantages with water and a park on one side as well as the privacy of the woods but with beautiful views.

Creekside: Lot 6 has 6.96 acres which run the eastern boundary of the property. The private building site on this lot sits on a gentle knoll just above a rushing creek. This site has mid-range mountain views and borders Hawks Ledge park on it's western side. The combination of a wooded setting with the ability to sit on your back porch and listen to the sounds of the creek while taking in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains makes this a very attractive lot.

Rhododendron: Lot 5 is the first on the property to provide sweeping long range views. This lot has been described as giving the feel of being in an Amphitheatre while sitting atop the building site. Long range views of nearly 180 degrees year round and even wider in the winter months. This lot contains 6.71 wooded acres and is located in the eastern top corner of the property. With the driveway already put in and gentle open meadow for a building site, this lot is very attractive for your custom home.

Patch View: Lot 4 is thought by many to be the most attractive site on the property. With the largest tract of land at 10.34 acres and the easiest access for the building site, this lot certainly makes it a simple job to build your custom home. Possibly the best feature of this lot is the close range straight on view of Max Patch as well as sweeping long range views of the Blue Ridge as well as Smoky Mountain mountain ranges. A large grassy knoll provides an excellent building site. The lot borders National Forest on it's entire western side and has creek running through it's upper eastern boundary.

Sweeping Views: Lot 3 consists of 5 acres on a large gentle knoll of open pasture. Spectacular views of Max Patch and the surrounding mountains are straight in front of the building site. The building envelope sits at approx. 3550 feet affording wide open long range mountain views. The remaining land on this parcel is wooded, giving the property a great deal of privacy.

Bear Paw: Lot 2 sits high atop the property and boasts the highest elevation at 3700 feet. This parcel is bordered to the rear with National Forest. The land consists of five acres and was once pasture land that could be reclaimed. A gentle driveway has been provided which takes you to the top of the lot where there waits a gentle knoll ideal for building. This lot boasts spectacular long range views and borders Pisgah National Forest to the south and west.

Rock Cliff: Lot 1 is the premier site on the property. Covering 6.01 acres, this parcel boasts a very large open pasture area ideal for building. The panoramic views of the Blue Ridge and Smoky mountains are spectacular.The building site sits at approx. 3600 feet. The entire western boundary of the lot borders National forest and has a beautiful granite rock cliff bordering the Pisgah National Forest. The remaining acreage on this parcel is forested. This is truly a one of a kind piece of land that would provide a spot for a great permanent residence or vacation home.
